At ISLP, we offer students the opportunity to learn with other students from all over the world. All our programmes encourage students to achieve high standards, both in their personal and academic endeavours. We challenge our students in all subjects to help them develop a global way of thinking.
Our Bilingual Education begins in the early years of school, offering students the chance of learning two languages. This approach enables them to acquire fluency in both languages gradually and continuously throughout their schooling. Throughout the various stages of education, students continue to be exposed to both languages in different subjects, according to the ‘CLIL APPROACH’, an approach in which a foreign language is used as a tool in the learning of a non-language subject, allowing students to develop solid language competence and deepen their understanding of the cultures associated with the two idioms.
Our school contributes to the development of students’ academic, social and emotional well-being. Our programme incorporates the subject areas specified in the official Italian curriculum, focusing on international thinking and strong personal values. We offer autonomous learning skills, encouraging each student to take responsibility for his or her own learning. Our programmes provide a stimulating framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Students are welcomed into an intercultural environment from an early age and develop ‘soft skills’ that will help them identify and pursue their own goals. These skills include autonomy, self-confidence, adaptability, the ability to organise oneself, achieve goals, manage information, initiative, teamwork and leadership.
