I wish to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the International School of Lago Patria. In our school, everyone is a “learner” and learning is the focus of all decisions and activities as our aim is to encourage the ‘habit of excellence’.

In all my years as educator, I have come to a simple conclusion—the key to school success is love and passion for what we believe, say and do. I do believe that learning is what really matters in life and it has led to excellence, happiness and success. The rest will come naturally. The cognitive and academic results will be achieved, for sure, as children will work harder and do things for the people they love and trust.

The children are the most precious resource within our community and we need to nurture them by providing the very best education possible. We believe that this means offering a vibrant, innovative and rigorous education, aligned with the academic standards of the Italian ‘Programmi Ministeriali’ and augmented with challenging international courses. Our curriculum inspires and challenges our students to develop a love of learning, and ensures that they have the knowledge, skills and values to cope with a rapidly changing and sometimes turbulent world. We aim to educate international minds, hearts and souls.

As part of our ‘community of learners’, your children will experience a warm and welcoming environment, and gain a sense of confidence from the caring and professional staff working here at the school. Our teachers have a special way of relating to the students, their families and each other that conveys compassion, understanding, respect, interest, appreciation as well as high expectations and active participation in their learning.

Walk through our school and you will sense the feeling of belonging. This is another truth I have gained as a passionate educator. “Belonging” is another natural and basic need. At ISLP we aim to give each child a place where trust, safety, ownership and constancy is guaranteed. I welcome you not only to look through our website but to visit our school and experience the spirit of our happy family school.
